The Acura TSX A-Spec Concept introduced at the 2005 SEMA show is a one-off masterpiece. It rides on 19-inch rims and Pirelli tires hiding a set of oversized Brembo brakes. New front and rear fascias and a center exhaust outlet at the rear spice up the design, while underbody diffusers increase grip and aerodynamics. A carbon-kevlar spoiler provides down force, while A-Spec springs and shocks are set at all four corners to keep the TSX glued to the road. Inside, front occupants are held tight by a set of Recaro seats.

Pre-owned Acura NSXs for sale are available at duPont REGISTRY. Any pre-owned Acura NSX for sale is one of the, if not the, hottest, most desirable model in the Acura model line-up. When looking for a pre-owned Acura NSX for sale, there are a couple things to keep in mind. Know that the Acura NSX has been around since 1990, which means you can find many pre-owned NSX cars for sale at a reasonable price that looks very similar to a 2000 NSX model. After 1995, the Acura NSX for sale was only available with t-tops and thus has more weight and a softer suspension. The pre-owned Acura NSX for sale at your local dealership comes with either a 3.0-liter V-6 or a 3.2-liter V-6 producing 270 hp and 292 hp, respectfully. It was in 1997 that the Acura NSX received the more powerful 3.2-liter V-6. If price is not a concern, try to look for the more powerful, pre-owned Acura NSX for sale that post dates 1997.

The NSX, or New Sportscar Experimental, as it was named during development was the first supercar to come from Japan. Unleashed to the American public in 1990, the NSX has been a huge hit for Honda’s Acura division. The NSX never really changed from the time of its inception till 2005 when production was halted. The only refreshing it got was a new motor in 1997 and a facelift in 2002.

The car was well known for offering both comfort and performance. The car is ergonomically superior to many supercars you can buy new today, let alone any of the supercar you could find back in 1990. It’s the engineers and craftsmanship that make the NSX still viable and enjoyable even by today’s standards. One little tidbit of engineering excellence is the t-tops of the NSX-T. Take the top off your NSX-T and store it in the ingenious spot above the engine that doesn't rob you of any luggage space! It’s the little things like this that make the Acura NSX still perfect, even when competing against cars engineered as recently as last year.

Of the seven Maserati brothers, six became renowned mechanics and engineers.
The black sheep of the family—Mario—instead became a painter, although he left an indelible mark on the marque. Wandering about Bologna’s main square one day, Mario came face to face with a statue of Neptune, whose barbed trident he promptly expropriated as the logo for his brothers’ first car, the 1926 eight-cylinder Tipo 26.

Why Mario would associate a racing car with the Roman god of the sea is one of those synaptic misfires mostly appreciated by liberal-arts majors. But it proved a good choice. By the time the brothers introduced their stunning A6GCS road car, Maserati automobiles had become associated with a distinctive concave grille with chrome vertical fillets, lending their products the countenance of a jawfish gagging on tadpoles. Voilà! The marine connection was complete.

Fast-forward to 2008. Were Mario still painting today, he’d fling his palette in joy to behold an identical aquatically themed grille, with huge chrome trident still attached, adorning Maserati’s latest, greatest luxo-coupe. The GranTurismo is a Maserati Quattroporte with two fewer doors, a 4.8-inch shortening of the wheelbase, and Pininfarina styling so seductive that the kid running the Ann Arbor carwash wouldn’t afford passage until he photographed it with his cell phone.

If you've thought in the past that the Jeep Liberty was a chick car, well, you were pretty much right. The 2008 Jeep Liberty ($TBA) does away with that notion — it's been completely redesigned from the ground up, with a new, boxier, masculine appearance, the all-new Selec-Trac II four-wheel-drive system, a new Sky-Slider full-open canvas roof, and a 210hp V-6 to propel you through the wilderness. Gadget-wise, the new Liberty also packs the MyGIG integrated audio, navigation and entertainment system, which offers real-time traffic updates (available with a Sirius subscription), a 20GB hard drive, and the UConnect Bluetooth system for hands-free calling. Chick car? Not anymore.

Lexus IS F Pictures 2008

The Lexus IS-F reviews keep coming in, this time from Automobile Magazine.

This review is similar in a lot of ways to Edmunds’, in that they loved the on-track performance but were disappointed with its ride harshness off it:

The IS-F rides on nineteen-inch BBS wheels that are forged rather than cast, saving somewhere around ten pounds each, but the result of all these changes is still one stiff-riding IS. The ride is fairly brutal, so your passengers certainly won’t mistake this for a regular Lexus.

More to the point, Automobile Mag doesn’t believe the IS-F is anything for its competitors to worry about:

But is that [the IS-F perfomance] enough to turn the IS-F into the kind of icon that the M3 has become? We don’t think so. The small sport sedan category is less about track prowess than it is street cred. The M3 has that in spades. Like the C63 and the RS4, it shares precious little of its driveline, suspension, and chassis with the more pedestrian car that it’s based on.

For all the speed the IS-F gained on the track, it lost even more of the ordinary IS’s drivability and good looks. And on the streets and in the showrooms, that’s what really counts.

Lotus Elise 2008 Pictures

2008 Lotus Elise SC 2008
In recent years, the term sports car has become diluted from over use. Everything from four-door sedans to visually warmed over econo-boxes have been given the title. Luckily for enthusiasts everywhere, Lotus is still building products that deserve the term sports car. The new Elise SC is basically the definition of the term. Lightweight, the perfect amount of power, responsive and focused. Essentially a supercharged Elise, the SC isn't so much about the extra peak power as it is expanding the powerband. The car never feels like you're in the wrong gear. New wheels, seats and interior trim round out the upgrades. Look for a full driving review in the September 08 issue of european car magazine.
